A guest house with all the necessary Japanese comfort in a residential area close to two major temples: Kinkaku-ji and Ryoan-ji. Also nearby are numerous restaurants, a bakery, and the superb Funaoka onsen, all within walking distance. We greatly appreciated the bicycles provided for getting around Kyoto (for example, to reach Arashiyama bamboo forest or the moss temple Saiho-ji). The host was always very responsive in answering our questions.

The house met all our needs. The neighborhood is lovely within walking distance of Kinkakuji. There is a bakery on the corner and a grocery coop around the corner. Several restaurants are close by. We were visiting our son who lives nearby and we were happy to find accommodations in this part of town. The owner was helpful and I appreciated that he stopped by to meet us and to refresh towels. Would stay again!

Donna

The property is in a nice quiet part of Kyoto but still within easy reach of public transport making it easy to get around to all the main attractions. My family also really enjoyed using the available bicycles to do a bit of sightseeing which I highly recommend. Finally, our host was fantastic. He was very friendly always prompt with replies,

This house is typical Japanese house love it, the culture has seen it and amazing but for those people who is elderly they can't sleep on floor as they having problems to get up, unfortunately we have 2 elderly in my family but will definitely book this again in future. Near in the centre of Kyoto.

Lea

Walking distance from one of Kyoto’s most famous attractions, the Golden Pavillion. Provided bikes were convenient. Very close to several food options, notably Hama-Sushi and Maccas, and supermarkets. Air con was fairly warm, perfect for the winter chills.
